Precise and practical, the Henry Single Shot Slug Barrel is the elegant solution for hunting deer in shotgun areas. Using the same familiar breaking action as our other single-shot shotguns, the barrel is fully rifled with a 1:35 twist rate to bring hoof and Brenneke slugs directly on target. Sighting is easy in all lighting conditions, thanks to the red fiber-optic light pipe in the fully adjustable rear notch and the bright green fiber-optic front sight post. For longer-range shots, this pistol is drilled and tapped for a Weaver optical mount.

This Slug Barrel model features an external rebounding hammer and a two-way swivel locking lever mechanism that blocks hammer contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. For added safety, the same locking system prevents the action from opening or closing with the hammer cocked. This shotgun is drop-proof without external manual safety.

The stock and front are made of squared American walnut, already fitted with swivel studs. A solid rubber recoil pad moderates felt recoil, as does the possibility of using an "early" sling wrapped around the support arm.

The weight is light enough to carry into the field but strong enough to prevent sudden recoil, and the 24" round barrel makes the most of internal slug ballistics.
